Biography:
OLD WAINDS was formed in 1995. The line-up has remained relatively unchanged since its beginings. OLD WAINDS has never given any concerts and only rehears before recording new albums.
In spring 1997 they recorded the debut demo entitled “Withers of The Wind“, on which Izbor from NAV joined as the session drummer. That year the demo came out on ZPP. The album "Here Snows Are Never Gone" was recorded in December 1997 and released on ZPP and THE END Prod. in 1998.
In autumn 1999 when OLD WAINDS recorded a four-song promo that landed a deal with German Label MIRIQUIDI Prod. for the cult 7?E.P. "Through Chaos to Eternal Winter".
In 2001 the most tough and ruthless album of OLD WAINDS, "The Religion of Spiritual Violence", spread through the underground quickly. Four long years went by until OLD WAINDS magnificent opus "Scalding Coldness" saw the light of day in 2005. "Scalding Coldness" exemplified a new quality and development of the band’s ideology focusing on darker and more atmospheric aspects.
In 2006 OLD WAINDS began to work with French label DEBEMUR MORTI Prod. and are currently finish working on their new album “D.N.K.” that will come out late 2008.
